Will running an air cooled T25 without the two lower tins do it any damage? Does anyone know where I could get a set of these tins at a reasonable price inc fitting kit? Thank you

no you wont do any damage   
but you run the risk of a brick   damaging the push rod tubes

They also aid in directing air flow over engine to keep it cool. Prob need just look  on web sites for these tins.  But be honest it should be ok.If you looking spend cash  I would spend cash on fitting a oil/engine temperature gauge and keep eye on it that way.
