Hi Gayle

We are the Forfar Galvanisers LTD open since 2001 and I was wondering if you would be interested in a possible article for your newsletter. We are able to galvanise VW Type 1 , Type 2 and Carmann Ghia chassis and for £350 + VAT. We can also do most other parts as well they only need to be clean as in shot blasted or chemical dipped first to make sure that the metal is clean. We have done these chassis before and also Land Rover chassis and bulkheads wheel arches etc and also TVR chassis I tell you this just so you are aware that we know what we are dealing with and have been very successful with all with no warping on chassis , wheel arches or bulkheads. Our process involves hanging each item individually then it moves to a de-greasing tank, acid bath (this is formulated as to only attack the rust and not the metal so rust is no issue what so ever), rinse tank, flux tank, then to the zinc bath (The widest in Scotland the temperature is around 450 deg C ), quench tank ( specially formulated giving an added layer of protection to the zinc) the process is then finished by hand. If you would like to know more please contact me or arrange for a visit and we will give you a tour of our factory. Our zinc bath size is 5.2 mtrs long 2.4 mtrs deep and 1.4 mtrs wide.

Thank you for your time. I hope this is of some use to you.

Regards

Kenny Newsam
