Hey Volksfolk,

Big progress has been made on the '62.

Grafted in the rear window section and fitted the body panels.

quick skim of filler

And some red oxide to protect it for now, filler needs sanding and finishing but doing Golde sunroof next so will fully straighten out roof when complete.

Hi Si. Car coming along great.
I notice your reg plate has an 'A' reg. I thought they only came out in 1963? If your car is an actual 1962 then I would think you would be able to get a reg without any letter and it would just have the 3 letters and 3 numbers without any single letter prefix or maybe you are good with what you have. I know that you can put an old reg on a new car but you can't have a reg that appears to make a car younger. Someone said to me that reg numbers in the 60's had many strange happenings. Maybe yours is one of these.
I only mention this in case you were not aware. Remember I'm that old that I have lived through all that period.
Keep up the good work. Get the jig saw out and loose that roof!
Cheers.
John

Thanks to my good mate Wullie, my '62 now has rear Day Mouldings Fibreglass wings.
The fit of these wings are excellent, plus the bonus of never going to rust.
