Can you tell me/explain a little more about banding/widening the wheels? I'm new to all this and didn't know it was possible. What width are you going for and howmuch will it cost? Are you goi g to get them paintedor chromef once they're done? Cheers

Car will eventually be a herbie replica, so need the wheels widened by about 2 inches.
This link will explain the full process - http://www.bandedsteels.com/

Had to move the bug to a temporary garage, so used the camper and trailer.

New Year's resolution: Have the bug built/mot'd and taxed in time for bugjam 2010.
Who's all going?

Need:

-Windscreen

-Engine (open to offers - good 1200 preferred)

-Window rubbers (front/ 2xquarters/ rear oval)

-Advice on best options for converting the 4 stud drums back to wide 5 drums

-New door seals / bonnet seals and engine lid seal

-Wing beading (black or white)

-Set of straight rust free towel rail bumpers

-original VW beetle towbar

Any help much appreciated.
Merry Christmas Volksfolks,
Si

Far-out this is my first time look at this thread and it is an ex-busstop bug, I put the drivers channel repair on it and tidied up the oval graft along with other wee bits an bobs, cool! good to see the project is going somewhere!
